I also represent property owners or sellers involved in property disputes, such as easement or boundary disputes, and wrongful eviction of mobile home owners.
My firm helps clients in Santa Barbara and surrounding communities with will contests and related matters. Will contests arise in a variety of different situations, such as:
- Contract to make a will: For example, a caregiver claims to have been promised property or money in exchange for care services provided but the will does not reflect that promise.
- Undue influence: For example, a relative or friend claims to be a rightful beneficiary, asserting that he or she was left out of the will based on undue influence exerted on the decedent by a caretaker or other person.
Bankruptcy
I represent debtors in Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. I've written some additional comments regarding bankruptcy on this website. I will represent debtors locally, including attending the meeting of creditors with the debtors. I try to keep my fees competitive and reasonable. "Locally" for these purposes means Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County, and most of Ventura County. In addition, I will represent debtors in other California counties by preparing the bankruptcy petition for them. The process of doing so involves transmitting information and draft documents by e-mail, and can be done fairly quickly and smoothly.
